Editor
Learn about the editor for creating and editing scouts and assets
Pilfer uses a rich text editor based on Lexical for creating and editing descriptions of scouts, assets, projects, and spaces. The editor provides a clean, distraction-free writing experience with support for formatting and structured content.
Basic Editing
The editor supports standard text editing operations:
- Type directly to add content
- Select text to format it
- Use standard keyboard shortcuts for copy, paste, undo, and redo
Formatting
The editor toolbar provides formatting options:
- Bold: Make text bold
- Italic: Make text italic
- Underline: Underline text
- Strikethrough: Cross out text
- Code: Format as inline code
- Link: Add hyperlinks to text
Keyboard Shortcuts
The editor supports common keyboard shortcuts:
- ⌘B / Ctrl+B: Bold
- ⌘I / Ctrl+I: Italic
- ⌘U / Ctrl+U: Underline
- ⌘K / Ctrl+K: Create link
- ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z: Undo
- ⌘Shift+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z: Redo
Auto-save
The editor automatically saves your changes as you type. You don't need to manually save - your content is preserved even if you navigate away from the page.
Templates
When creating new entities, the editor can be pre-filled with template content. This is especially useful for scouts and assets where you have standard evaluation criteria or descriptions.
Templates are managed in Settings and can be set as defaults for each entity type (scouts, assets, projects, spaces).
