User Area + Preferences

The User Area and Preferences section allows you to customize your Pilfer experience. Access it by clicking your avatar in the top right corner and selecting "Settings", or navigate directly to /settings.

Currency Preferences

Set your preferred currency for displaying costs throughout Pilfer. This affects:

How prices are displayed in scouts and assets
Currency detection in autofill
Cost formatting in projections

To change your currency:

Go to Settings → Preferences
Select your preferred currency from the dropdown
Your preference is saved automatically

Supported currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, INR, BRL, MXN, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, NZD, SGD, HKD, KRW, and TRY.

Organization Currency

If you're working in a team workspace, the organization's currency setting takes priority over your personal preference. This ensures consistency across the team.

Homepage Visibility

Control which properties are visible on the homepage's recent items section. You can customize visibility for:

Scouts: Which scout properties to show
Assets: Which asset properties to show

This helps you focus on the information most relevant to you when viewing recent activity.

Templates

Manage description templates for scouts, assets, projects, and spaces. Templates allow you to:

Create default templates that auto-populate when creating new entities
Create multiple templates for different use cases
Edit and delete templates as needed

Templates are managed per entity type in the Settings section.

Keyboard Shortcuts

View and learn keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Shortcuts help you work faster by reducing mouse usage.

Common shortcuts:

C: Create scout dialog
N then S: Create scout dialog (alternative)
/ or ⌘K: Focus search bar

Shortcuts are disabled when typing in input fields and on mobile devices.
